New Construction Spending For September 2019

On November 1, 2019, the U.S. Census Bureau reported nationwide construction spending was up 0.5% to $1,293,614 billion in September of 2019 from $1,287,054 billion August of 2019, but down 2.0% from $1,319,675 billion in September of 2018.

Nationwide private construction higher 0.2% to $961.7 billion in September of 2019 from $959.9 billion in August of 2019.
Residential construction increased 0.6% of $511.4 billion in September of 2018 from $508.4 billion August of 2019.
Non residential construction dropped 0.3% to $450.3 billion in September of 2019 from $451.4 billion in August of 2019.
The public construction gained 1.5% to $331.9 billion in September of 2019 from $327.2 billion in August of 2019.
The educational construction rose 3.1% to $78.9 billion in September of 2019 from $76.5 billion in August of 2019.
The highway construction jumped 2.6% to $98.6 billion in September of 2019 from $95.5 billion in August of 2019.
