Ron and Alexandra Seigel hi Alexandra... that is so true. At the end of the day, the Second Harvest Food Bank gets a ton of support from local companies, especially the grocery chains... but it's never enough, it seems. Our office sponsors a charity each quarter... last quarter was Classroom Central which kind of does what the food bank does but with school supplies. We donate time and money. But I've realized over time that money is easy to donate... time not so much... and that's why it's such a valuable contribution.

I've often promoted the work of the Second Harvest Food Bank and I've contributed to it both in terms of food and money for a long time, This was the first time I stepped foot into their facitily... it is mind-blowing. One really can't appreciate what and how much they do with so little paid staff until one actually goes in to help.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® hi Sheri.... thanks. It was amazingly hard work in many ways... I think we all got a totally new sense of appreciation of what happens behind the scenes at the food banks.

James Dray hi James... that was really an eye-opener! Our "supervisor" was a veteran who worked as a registered nurse full-time after leaving the military and part-time at the food bank. He recently retired from nursing and works full-time at the food bank supervising the food sorting and distribution process... and you can bet he doesn't make a ton of money. But he is so dedicated to stamping out hunger it makes you want to cry when you speak with him. A true hero.

Grant Schneider good morning, Grant. Thanks. In reality, food backs like Second Harvest work hard just about every day of the year. Watching it close up was simply mind-boggling.

For sure Brian England Sometime we do it somewhat unconsciously and sometimes we need to be a bit more deliberate in doing it.
