Good morning, Grant Schneider more often than not, agents set goals and write them down... and they don't have a clue of how to proceed from there.... what's the purpose? why bother? most have illusions of grandeur.... they don't have a shot at hitting those goals.... but it surely reads well!!!

PS. Barbara Todaro - your great post today is exactly when I am expressing.
Good morning Grant. The only place success is found before work is in the dictionary. Most don't know what a dictionary is! Much to ponder! Enjoy your day!

Lise - time of year is perfect to decide what you want to change.
Brain - deciding what you want and wanting it bad enough are important.
Good morning, Grant... this is it in a nutshell:
We must have a greater reward, the emotional need and want, to establish a new habit. That reward will help us to replace the old habit with a new one which will yield a new and greater reward.

Grant, as long as we continue to work the way we know will produce, it will, patience is sometimes needed.

Grant,
What a great post. I realy appreciated the part about making sure the goal is what we really want regardless of outside influences. We had a client who was doing very well in selling luxury homes much to the delight of his family and friends. But what he really wanted was to go back to his executive post at one of the Fortune 500 companies. He missed that life. And we loved it, when the company called him and offered a higher executive position, which he promptly accepted. A

Nina - if the dream is big enough the facts don't matter.
George - something I heard years ago. It may have been Think and Grow Rich.
Ron and Alexandra - Alexandra, yes and that is what coaching helps people discover.
Hi Grant Schneider,
I remember in my corporate years, November was the time we set aside to establish our goals for the upcoming year. As far as motivation goes, it has to come from within the individual. Some of us are able to easily motivate ourselves, those who cannot find it a struggle to be successful.

Yes Grant. You must convince yourself. Others can be an influence...but it's up to you. I remember reading that being around positive people is a good way to be enouraged to do what is best for you.

Morning Grant.
Everyone knows the why, only about 60% of them reach that goal. Pity, so much potential

Sheri - motivation always comes from within.
Larry and Sheila - that is correct. There can be outside enticements but the motivation to go is within.
James - do they really believe it!
Thank you very much, Grant, for sharing your experience and your advice.

Grant, when we map out a plan, go the distance and follow-through, the goal should present itself.

Joan - and the main driver is our comittment.
Michael - it is a good start to know what you really want.
Laura - that is right. You expressed that perfectly.
Mott - another great quote.
I love this Grant! Having a Big Why and knowing your passion are important. I've always had a passion for Real Estate. From the time I finished high school, I was completely on my own financially. I worked and went to school to support myself. When I became a mom, I stayed at home and worked in a different capacity but unpaid of course. I went back to Real Estate not because I needed money but, because I needed purpose. It was harder to relate to the big why because it had changed. In addition to a big why, I have a big purpose.

Hi Grant I've heard this often over the years ! Lately Gary has been talking about what's next for him as he's planning on retiring from aerospace next spring. It's been great fun to play and create about what's next.... I keep saying, he's your chance to be a golf pro!!

Amen to all this, Grant, especially the importance of knowing the WHY!
I especially liked this statement - we must have a greater reward, the emotional want and need, in order to establish a new habit.

Carla - knowing what you want and how it creates work life balance is a big why.
Anna Banana - I would definitely encourage Gary to go for it.
Jeff - it really is about our emotions that motivate us.
Sheila - once we know then stay focused and don't quit.
Sally and David - the vision board keeps us focused and helps us know when to go to the next step.
Great post for this time of year I need to
focus on what my why is a bit more this year
