You may be surprised to learn all three share an important anniversary on November 10th. Read below to learn more about these three newsworthy items, as well as other interesting facts that happened on November 10th.
1989 – German citizens begin to bring the Berlin Wall down
2006 – The National Museum of the Marine Corps opens in Quantico, Virginia. U.S. President George W. Bush dedicated the Museum, and simultaneously announced that Marine Corporal Jason Dunham would receive the Medal of Honor. Dunham’s unit was attacked by grenade while on patrol in Husaybah. Dunham deliberately covered an enemy grenade to save fellow Marines. He died from his injuries eight days later.
