Fall in Sedona - My Favorite Time of Year
The Change Of Temperature
Fall has always been a very special time of the year for me. Even when I lived in California, I enjoyed the change in temperature. Sure, it was not a drastic change but we would go to "Apple Land" in Oak Glen to enjoy some seasonal change. We would visit the animal farm and enjoy some hot apple cider as we also enjoyed a piece of hot fresh apple pie. Yum Yum!
It was an annual ritual. We would bring back a gallon of the hard cider and also regular cider to enjoy the rest of the Thanksgiving season. This was something to truly be thankful for!
Fall Color - Sedona Style
Across most of the United States, the leaves have fallen and the trees are bare or almost bare. In Sedona, some trees and bushes have shed some of the leaves but most of the color is still visible. We actually get four seasons but winter and summer are milder because we do not see very much humidity. It is the humidity that makes warm air feel warmer and cold air feel much colder.
Mother Nature Is Good To Us
In other areas that I have lived, I have always dreaded the two extreme seasons. Living in Sedona, I have found that I actually enjoy the seasons as they change. Last February, we had 25 inches of snow but the snow evaporates and it is gone. Our main roads stay clear. We don't have to bundle up. In the summer, the lack of humidity also works in our favor and there is nothing like good monsoon rain.
I am thankful every day for our mild seasonal experiences. Mother Nature is definitely good to us! I hope you enjoyed the video which is just a little slice of Heaven, here on earth.
This tree was one of the pics at my very first listing 8 years ago. It holds a special place in my heart. We put the home on market during November.
As always, if you have any questions about property in Sedona or the Verde Valley or just want a question answered, I am more than happy to help you.
