Education & Training with Performance Development Strategies

Just like the song I started off all alone but I am grateful for all of the friends that I have acquired along the way.  Before I was married more than 41 years I had friends but my dear wife multiplied the friends we have many times over.  I am so fortunate that my wife is such giver and a loved person that we have always many friends.

For years my wife was pitcher for a women's softball team and that group of friends is still together.  In a few weeks, they will be baking Christmas cookies together.  Yum!  She also had many work friends.  Every Christmas we threw a big catered party for her work friends.

People with children have a great opportunity to build friendships through their children.  From the time our daughters were in nursery school we were developing those relationships.

We would go out with the kids on Halloween.  We went to school activites together.  We went to the town pool together had picnics on the 4 th of July and went together to the fireworks, and had New Years parites together.

Now all of our daughters are in their 30's, some married, some children.  But we, the parents are carrying on.  We are still a great group of friends and we have been there for each other.  We still go to Carol and Peter's house for Halloween and Superbowl.  We all come to our house for 4th of July.  We go to Bob and Allana's for New Years Eve.  And we have been to all of other children's weddings.

Life is great when you have friends!

It is always neat to look back and reflect where our friends came from, usually so many places.  Hopefully, those friends continue to be friends for our whole lives!

Hi Grant- you are blessed! Where in the world would we be without the chance meetings we have with people who then became good friends. Larry and I did not have children and we moved quite a few times and yet we've been very lucky and have a good core group of friends.
