Can Agents Actually Show Your Home?

I ran into a bit of a snag today. I went to show condos in an oceanfront building that has a "lockbox bar" in the garage area. There were no less than 15 lockboxes on this bar. I have instructions for 2 listings in this building.

The first lockbox was easy to find as the listing agent had taped his business card on the back of the box. The second lockbox not so much. The agent had not taped or marked her lockbox with her name or card. I tried calling the agent to attempt to identify which box was hers. She did not answer her phone. I then called the showing desk and the person there had absolutely no idea which box it could be. The showing desk said they would contact the listing agent and call me right back. I went up and showed the first listing. When I was done I still had not heard back from either the listing agent or the showing desk. My Buyer and I left.

When I got home tonight I got an e-mail requesting feedback on the listing I could not get into. I typed in a message similar to the one in the previous paragraph and hit send. I immediately got a call from the listing agent. I re-iterated that I had tried to call her and her statement to me was, "well I wish you would have texted me". Now let me say that I realize that many people prefer texting but if you are a listing agent and are a big enough knucklehead not to put your name on your lockbox then I submit that PERHAPS you should pick up your damn phone! I doubt that this agents Sellers know that she chooses not to pick up her phone when people call her. How well do you think that she is representing her Seller(s).
