Gratitude of the Feline Variety....

No gratitude list would be complete coming from our house without being grateful for our "feline children."  They are as much a part of our family as two-footed childre

Magic...got his name because he was rescued from under the porch of a client...the runt of the litter ..he fit in a coffee cup, We got up every few hours to feed him...He didn't quite undertand what to do with food...so magicdipping it in milk or water and feeding it to him by hand every four hour around the clock was part of the ritual and bonding that he and David had in the evening.  He is very nuch David's cat...they work in the office together...and keep each other company during sports binge watching.  Magic lives in the lower level of our exposed ranch because by the time Dini (a/k/a Houdini Alpha Hanson) joined our family there was quite an age difference. Poor family planning I know. Cosmo ...our older cat before we had Dini...was very gentle and taught Magic everything...and what he didn't learn quickly...Cosmo would patiently teach him,..this included daily baths in the sunlight of the french doors to the deck. Magic would turn around to be sure he got his full spa treatment and Cosmo would "bathe" him front and back. Cosmo was 18 and a half when he left us and I was so sad...Magic was really David's cat ...I needed one of my own...and that is how Dini came to join the family.

We wanted a kitten and every time we went to the Shelter or Humane Society...the kittens were gone. ...no one would "save" them sight unseen.  Soooo we saw someone online that had a litter of what were suppose to be kittens that were 75% ragdoll...I would have taken them all..sooo cute ! We chose Dini from pictures on line...sent a deposit and waited till he was old enough to come with us.  He had his white tuxedo and boots and beautiful blue/gray body...it was love at first meow. We picked him up had blankets and toys...and drove back a little over an hour home to introduce him to Magic and his new home.  Let's just say that Dini's playful needle claws and Magic who was 11 years older were not friends...no matter how hard we tried...so that is why they each have their own floor.

Dini (dee nee) is very bright. I know all parents think their childrendini smart...no college tuition necessary...he just naturally seems to learn and remember things. He can fetch, play catch, beg for treats, give you a hug....and open every cabinet door in the house...the buffet, china cabinet, wet bar...coat closet....Like his namesake ..Houdini...he is not short on tricks.

We love them and start and end our day with a smile because they are in our lives...unconditional love given and received...and we would not trade either of them for any other "child".  Magic will be 21 in July....we share the same birthday and Dini will be 8 in April.  An attitude of gratitude for our feline companions...and they show us that every day with their "give back" to us.

This is an attitude of gratitude post from Sally K. & David L. Hanson, Associate Brokers with EXP Realty LLC honored to be of service,...to Magic & Dini ...and for everyone in southeastern Wisconsin for all things real estate.

Hi Sally... unconditional love given and unconditional love received... that's it in a nutshell. Who wouldn't or couldn't be grateful for this?

Good morning Sally. Sometimes the four legged children as more company than the two legged ones, especially as they age. Like the name Cosmo, had a Yorkie by the same name. Enjoy your day!

I have never had that kind of love for a pet, but I definitely understand how close those bonds can be!

As a canine person I wonder about the  feline folks.

But, looking at the first photo I think I now know where my Redskin color mouse went!  It somehow disappeared and now I see where it is.

Must be magic...

Sally and David I am not a pet person, but I fully understand the bond that happens between those who are, and their four legged buddies.
