This Week...It Took a Village
We had our share of cold weather this week including a night with near-freezing temperatures. What made it especially cold during the day was the overcast skies and drizzling rain.
It takes a village to raise a child. Find a village. Encourage one another & open your village to others. Unknown
My sister-in-law (who is a saint) ended up caring for a newborn on Monday. The mother has no family with 2 toddlers under 3 who have colds and fever.
She was concerned about exposing her newborn son to this. The baby was just under a week old. My sister-in-law was best friends with the young girl’s mother (who passed away a few years ago.)
So when they say it takes a village...they’re not kidding!

We took dinner over one night and to give my sister-in-law a break, Larry fed the baby and held him all night. Babies love Larry.
Other members of our family have come over to give my sister-in-law a break and others are waiting their turn to help out until the baby goes back to mama.

This is what it’s all about. If you can help...you do.
Have a glorious weekend!
