Hi Everyone! Yesterday I had occasion to be near enough to a married couple
who have been together for years. Through the years and my work as a
counselor, I've been involved in working with many meaningful relationships,
many marriages. However yesterday, Saturday morning, I was within ear shot
of this couple as they worked together preparing for a garage sale.
I recall hearing the man say something; what I will remember for a long time
was the 'peals of laughter' that followed and the pure and happy laughter of
his wife. I tell you it was so beautiful and refreshing and especially in today's
busy, involved world. Got me to thinking about my Dad; he had this way
about him where he could out-right laugh and sometimes at what seemed like
the most inappropriate time-- yet, I would call it a 'healing-for-the-occasion'
laugh and coming exactly 'at the right moment.' His laughter could change
the whole energy, vibration, atmosphere in our home from negative to positive.
It had the strength to change our day, change our lives. It was so wonderful,
just like the laughter I overheard yesterday morning.
Maybe we could look at quotes on laughter today.
Have a beautiful Sunday. Jane
