Blue Heron

Yesterday was very cold and blustery, needed to go for a walk, but really had to persuade myself to go, so glad I did as I came across this lovely guy, as I have said before Blue Herons have become my Spirit Animal and to go out and see this guy was a big thrill.

Hi NIck.. no doubt the herons are majestic birds. We actually see quite a few of them here in Ballantyne. (They seem to like to look for back yard koi ponds for taste lunches and breakfasts!)

Nick,

We see many of these in our neck of the Salt Marsh Reserve.  I never tire of seeing them.  A

Hi Nick- whenever we're out for a walk, seeing a beautiful bird or a deer can make the walk worthwhile. We saw a deer this morning.

Nina Hollander I am sure they do the same around here, but I usually see them along the river banks and lakes here.

Michael Jacobs it is the best place for me to be to feel relaxed.

Sheila Anderson they are amazing flying through the trees considering how gangly they are.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel I agree, there is something about them that is always good to see and look at.

Sham Reddy CRS I wish for you that was possible as well, it is a wonderful feeling to just walk out the door and enjoy nature.

Kathy Streib we have a lot of deer who do lots of damage but it is still special to see wild animals around where one lives.

James Dray I need to get back into shape, been a little slack the last few weeks, and the fitness slips away quickly.

I really did not want to go, but I know once I start I enjoy it and today was no exception, seeing the heron was icing on the cake Brian England

Nick, this blue heron would be cool to see while on a walk.   Pretty sure we don't have them here.
