2019 Pets on Parade at the Carlsbad Village Faire

Carlsbad’s annual holiday Pets on Parade take place from 9 am until 2:30 pm on Sunday December 7th, a busy day for holiday events in Carlsbad.

Pets on Parade is held in the courtyard at the Carlsbad Village Faire, a popular shopping and dining destination in the heart of Carlsbad Village.

Plentiful shopping (including my favorite gelato store, GelatoLove) and dining options plus free parking (true in all of Carlsbad Village) make the Carlsbad Village Faire a popular place for residents and tourists during the holidays, with events every weekend during the holiday season. Stay tuned for more!

Pets on Parade offers pet owners a fun opportunity for pet photos with Santa taken by a professional photographer. To make an appointment call 760-644-2121 or email chris AT Carlsbad-Village.com.

Here are some photos from last year on Amazon.

Photos are $30, with appointments beginning at 9 am (photo shoot times are 9 to 12, and 1 to 2:30). Photo spots are limited so reserve early; walk-ins will only be accommodated if spots are available! You will be able to download photos from an online account beginning December 9th, perhaps sooner.

There will be a group photo with Santa at 12:30 by the holiday tree at the front entrance to the Village Faire – imagine that scene!

Then pets and their owners can march in a short Pet Parade down Carlsbad Village Drive led by Santa at 12:45 pm.

There will be a vendor area featuring pet-related and other products (e.g., Carlsbad Cookie Company), plus a charity raffle. Pets on Parade is free to attend, and no doubt will be fun for 2 and 4-legged attendees. There are sure to be terrific holiday outfits, on pets and on their humans, too!

All proceeds from Pets on Parade will benefit the Wagging Dog Rescue, a Carlsbad-based charity. In 2018 an impressive $2,285 was donated!! What a wonderful charity to donate to!

I enjoy seeing pets dressed up, but can't say it's my thing to do. And our cats would be highly insulted if we were to even try!
