Saturday's Shots ~ Sequels

Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker United Realtors® ~ 512.750.6899

Last night I saw Frozen Two at the Alamo Drafthouse with my son and family. Of course Beautiful Beckett wore her Elsa dress and enjoyed the charming musical sequel. It was agood family movie that I felt promoted sisterhood, empowerment, love and acceptance.

I read a movie review that mentioned the film reinforced a one-step-at-a-time approach to decision making through a song called "The next right thing." The message I extracted from the movie of loss, change and hope was especially poignant to me.

“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.” Maya Angelou

Hello Dorie - while I haven't seen any version of Frozen(movie, play -- is there an Ice Capades version yet?   ), I am sure the entertainment, child-like glee and positive influence was as "good as it gets" for a "family night out".  The Maya Angelou quote is a great accompaniment to your post.

Good morning Dorie Dillard CRS GRI ABR - It is nice to know we have some family movies like that where children learn about life.  That picture of Beckett is excellent (lighting and expression)

Good morning, Dorie... well, you are two up on me... I haven't seen either of these movies! But the message for young girls seems terrific. Beckett was certainly taking it all in.

Hello Dorie,

Taking the kiddos to see Frozen II this weekend. So happy that even in a child's movie we adults can still find a lesson, and a purpose. Have a great weekend!

Oh, I love the shot of Beautiful Beckett and your takeaway from the movie, Dorie.

I think Maya Angelou had an insight into my soul sometimes - she just seems to be so relatabe to me, if that makes sense!

Hope you have a fabulous week ahead!
