Homemade Cranberry Raspberry sauce is quick easy and delicious. I am thankful to have this recipe to share with you. It is a very simple recipe that I make every year. Can you believe Thanksgiving is almost here?
I can not always find fresh raspberries. Fresh Cranberry sauce will stay fresh for months. It is like a preserve. It is also good on toast or a bagel way after Thanksgiving Day. It is also delicious on ice cream If you do not have raspberries you can use the same recipe just omit the raspberries it will still be delicious. Here is the recipe I hope you enjoy it. I did try something new I added less apple cider 1/2 cup and added 1/2 cup of rum 1/4 tsp.of almond extract cooked cranberries for 5 minutes and last 5 minutes added raspberries
Rinse cranberries
1 bag 12 oz and raspberries small container in colander pick out any bad ones
1 cup of apple cider (may substitute water )or 1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup of brown sugar (may substitute white sugar )
Heat the apple cider and brown sugar in a medium saucepan until a low boil stir until smooth add cranberries and raspberries bring to boil again lower heat cook for ten minutes watch carefully and still occasionally ..
I also add a slice of lemon
That is it remove from heat
Let it cool Put into containers it will gel as it cools
