I'm grateful for "Mini-Me's".
As recently as 25 years ago I was in the camp that thought: "Kids, no thank you"
Now I'm hoping to live long enough to see grandchildren... lots of them! (but not to soon as my daughter is only 19 and my son is 18 years old)
My favorite piece of literature says: "You must have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth." (Genesis 9:7 Good News Translation). I wish I would have taken heed much sooner in life but then again it took 40 years to find someone who would put up with me, much less my children. The best part, as I have said in many other posts, my mother did not get her wish that my children be little hellions like I was. My kids are PERFECT!
I'm grateful that at this time I have decendents. Of course I wish my family portrait would look more like this one but at 65 it's just not in the cards for me.
My children have brought me more joy then I ever could have imagined back 20 years ago. When ever I reflect on their lives it always brings me to an attitude of gratitude. I hope that my parents are able to look down from heaven and say "for as much of a pain in the ass Bobby was he has done good and made up for all the pain and sorrow by giving us two wonderful grandchildren through him. (I have to say that because my sister and my brother also gave them wonderful grandchildren) Mom and Dad would be proud.
I hope everyone reading this have many reasons for an attitude of gratitude. Wishing you all a very blessed Thanksgiving 2019 and thanks again to Debe Maxwell, CRS for the NOVEMBER 2019 THANKSGIVING GRATITUDE CHALLENGE.
