Long Island Home Buyers Want To Know What Is Luxury?

What Does A Luxury Home Mean To You?

That's the question a Long Island Buyer asked us.

Everyone has a different view of what Luxury means to them.

We sold a small co-op unit for $90,000 that the first-time home buyer thought was luxury living compared to the studio apartment he was renting.

We have sold $400,000 homes that the buyers thought were luxury even though it needed lots of updating.

We closed on a $2,000,000 property where the very nice buyers said to us "we will live here for a few years and then when we are making more money, we can really buy luxury"...

A premium price tag does not define luxury. It can be security, peace and quiet or being happy in your own space.

For us, luxury does not refer to the grandness or the glitter, it is about the atmosphere of the place and the experience you create, to it call home...

It's our job to find the right type of luxury for each of our clients - Whatever that might be!

So, what does luxury mean to you?

Hello Sheila and Larry - like so many words, "luxury" can have multiple definitions.  Different people.  Varying locations.  Lots of descriptions/determing factors.  As Long Island real experts you understand the nuance.   Better yet you know and carefully listen to people and their needs to help them find the ideal property.

Good morning, Sheila and Larry. Beauty (and luxury) are in the eye of the beholder... and you put it perfectly: "A premium price tag does not define luxury. It can be security, peace and quiet or being happy in your own space."

Larry and Sheila,

A great take on luxury.  For the past couple of years, I have seen the luxury industry lose its identity, and I have been thinking as to how to express it as I see the world luxury bandied about without any thought behind it.  A

This is very good reading for prospective home buyers.

When thinking back over the years, our quality of life was probably at the highest in the smallest home we have owned...a cooperative on the oceanfront.
