Happy Thanksgiving 2019

Real Estate Agent with DFW FINE PROPERTIES 0506509

Thanksgiving is a time of gathering as families and as a nation to show gratitude for the many blessings we have received. It’s a time for reflection, memories, commitment, dedication, and hope for our future. In this longstanding tradition, may we share our bounty with others.

Throwback Thursdays reminds of the past. Here’s the wedding couple that was on the top of my wedding cake. Weddings back then were a gathering of family and friends, food, wine, music, and celebrations with good wishes for all. My favorite part of Thanksgiving as a child was when my father ran the old slide projector of picnics, graduations, and other major milestones we achieved after dinner. As a parent, my children and I made ourselves comfy after dinner and watched movies like the Muppets. It seemed as if the more members of our family were added, the more characters we had that play a role in our lives, memorable and merry. Dinner was a feast with enough food to satisfy the difference between who wanted white meat and who wanted dark, those you wanted veggies and those that didn't want green beans or brussel sprouts. And nobody went home hungry.

I am thankful for family, my friends, our members on ActiveRain, clients, and everyone who contributes to our health, education and well-being. To those I met, never met, and wish I met or will meet, special thanks and blessings to you and your loved ones. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello Patricia - so many aspects of your post are reminders.   Of the past, as well as looking forward while still living in present day.  It's a combination of all those factors.  You pulled it together quite well as we know you can do so well.  May your Thanksgiving Day have many memorable moments.

Michael Jacobs - Happy Thanksgiving! This family of ours on ActiveRain keeps exploding with new faces and we never tire of the old. We miss the ones who are gone, out of sight, at least like Dick Greenberg and Noah Seidenberg because it is our nature to be one BIG happy family!

I am looking forward to reading more of your insightful posts that draws us into our imagination. All the very best wishes I send your way.

Hi Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP

Happy Thanksgiving to you! Your post reminded me of a family tradition that we have to start the holidays.  We watch Christmas Vacation and the scene where Clark is stuck up in the attic watching old family movies was something else we used to do.

And, Happy Thanksgiving to you, Patricia! I am so like you when it comes to holidays and gatherings. There's no place I'd rather be than with family and friends - I love my time with them and wish I had more of it.

And, yes, we are family and it's just as you mentioned - we are all about the new members and keeping in touch with the ones who moved away too!
