Hello Debe - I am definitely not a connoisseur of donuts but am aware of the emergence of the almost-haute-cuisine appeal of them locally with incredible prices and outrageous concoctions locally. I am glad you shared the news but hopefully a healthy dose of self-restraint needs to be a part of your post too.

I tried the chocolate - peanut butter and the bacon - maple and both were amazing! I had 1/4 of a donut of each and could have easily demolished both of them WHOLE, Sharon Lee!

While I am typically not a fan of cake donuts, these definitely were a different donut than I've ever had, Kathy Streib! They certainly changed my opinion of cake donuts!

Teehee, that self-restraint is very difficult sometimes, Michael Jacobs! I did have a total of ½ of a donut because I wanted to try two flavors and we quartered the donuts so we could all sample the different flavors. They were amazing!

And, yes, I agree, this is a new and trendy thing in many cities. It seems that these trendy restaurants/shops are either one extreme or another - Paleo or as fattening as fattening can be donuts or craft breweries serving up high octane brews!! It takes a lot of self-discipline, for sure!

I checked out their map because I've never heard of them. It looks like they are a Coming Soon to Pflugerville (outside of Austin) and will pose a threat to Round Rock Donuts..who so many love and very close to Pflugerville.
