Hey Active Rain! Today's entry is not necessarily going to be real estate focused - it is to highlight 3 habits that you can adopt to your lifestyle, that can also drastically improve your life.
Here are 3 Habits Real Estate Agents Should Adapat:
1. Eat Healthier
With a profession that requires logging a few thousand miles in your car every year, it's so easy to get food from a drive through window. We don't need science to let us know that this is not exactly the healthiest option available. Instead, try meal prepping. It will save you time, money, and also will be much better for your body. The healthier you are, the longer you will live, the longer you can be in real estate! (If you truly want to be!)
2. Exercise More
With such a busy schedule, it is still possible to exercise regularly. If you haven't exercised in a while, I would recommend a 30-day challenge. Tell a loved one about your challenge, and it can keep you accountable. I personally used to HATE running, but I decided to do 1-mile a day for 30 days. By the end of week one, I was running 2 miles. In 30 days, 3 miles gotten much easier for me. It doesn't have to be running either - try 100 pushups a day for 30 days, or a one hour walk. Running for 20 minutes a day can drastically improve your mood and help alleviat your stress.
3. Work on Your Business in Your Free Time
With real estate, you set your own hours. This is a good and bad thing, as you can be super efficient with your own time - but you can also feel a little lazy and put things off til another time until they pile up. It's possible to find little pockets of time within your day to work on your business. This can be things like learning how to use your CRM, reading articles about improving your website's search engine rankings, or scheduling out some posts for social media to go out later in the month.
There are plenty of habits a successful person can adapt - I would argue these are the 3 most basic. What do you think? Is there something you would add or remove to this list? Let me know!
