I had a great time filming this video with David Mackey of Malvern Maps hearing how he got interested in maps, and seeing part of his collection and the sort of maps he sells. Locally for Chester County residents and those who grew up in the area, David through his business Malvern Maps sells plates from Railroad Atlases which often show all the land around the various rail road stations up to about a mile away as well as maps of chester County. These make great gifts, and the colors are often in good condition due the atlases not having been broken up and displayed in frames. David also has various farm maps as well.
Watch the video and catch his passion, then go check out his website, www.MalvernMaps.com.
David is a new exhibitor at the 2020 Chester County Antiques Show being held March 14th and 15th 2020, with an opening night preview party on March 13th 2020 at the Church Farm School in Exton PA. There will be about 42 dealers from the local area, Mid West, Mid Atlantic region and New England exhibiting all sorts of merchadise for sale, furniture, ceramics, china, pottery, jewlery, silver, art, prints, maps, fine art and decorative arts. There will be something for everyone, and antiques are environmentally friendly, being sustainable, so save the date and plan on attending and bring your check book or credit card.
I am managing the show with Deidre Healy, my sister in law, and it benefits the Chester County Historical Society located in West Chester, PA. I like to support local businesses and non profits.
