A Simple Way to Analyze Your Marketing Budget for 2020!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

Whenever we are asked what changes we recommend one makes in their marketing budget, our answer is always the same.  Strengthen  the core (what is working and producing results), and abandon what is not working.  Pictured above is the Westerlay Christmas tree from 2018.  It is decorated with cymbidium flowers which are placed in a sealed water tube, so that it lasts through New Year's day.

Pictured above is the 2019 version of their Christmas tree full of phalaenopsis orchids.  Earlier this month, I went into the store to buy a new cymbidium.  I was told that they were no longer growing cymbidiums, as they took up too much space in the greenhouses and were seasonal. Instead they opted to increase their phalaenopsis production which is a year round flower to meet their growing demand.

When working with our clients, we analyze their results.  If a certain form of advertising is bringing in results (sales, inquiries and listings), we strengthen them.  If not they are jettisoned.

It is really very simple, strengthen what works and abandon the rest!

CAN YOU STATE HOW YOU ARE DIFFERENT AND BETTER THAN YOUR COMPETITION IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS?

ABOUT:  Luxury Real Estate is a high stakes game. Commissions are substantial! We help luxury real estate professionals get to the listing table more often and win listings more frequently.  If you want to be the market leader, the personal or company brand that your target market thinks of first and refers most often, you need an Elevator Statement to accelerate the process.  We can get you there!

Your Elevator Statement is a succinct and persuasive summary of your extraordinary promise of value, your unique selling proposition.  In a time-starved world the attention span of your target market is shrinking.  To instantly convey what sets you apart from the crowd you need to be able to answer EACH ONE of these 3 questions in less than 30 seconds.: 1) What Do You Do?; 2)  How Do You Do It?, and;  3) How Are You Different?.  Can you state how you are different and better than your competition in less than 30 seconds?

Watch the video above to see and hear how we do it.

Hi Alexandra,
I do love the Christmas "trees" made from flowers. My favorites are the poinsettias stacked in the shape of a tree. So striking!

Regarding budget, spot on.  Do what is working and dump what's not.  However, we do need to keep an eye on the evolution of marketing trends and results, don't we?

Makes sense Alexandra. If it doesn't work, search for a new idea that is more promising!

Love your photos!  There is a quaint small botanical garden in Toronto that has a spectacular array of Christmas trees, plants, you name it.  I remember seeing several that were 'fed' by water.....absolutely beautiful displays. As for the budget - done. Mr G keeps on top of that all year long and after all these years in the biz it's easy to see what works and what doesn't. KISS!

Hi Ron and Alexandra- I used to go to an orchid grower in Leesburg, VA who had every spot in his large greenhouse accounted for...as in how much each orchid cost him to occupy that space. Phalaenopsis are easy to grow and maintain. I love cymbidiums but they, for me, arent' easy to grow.

I love last year's tree and I totally get why the owners stopped creating that one. We simply must stick to what works and not venture down dead end roads just for something new.

If it isn't broken, why try to fix it?! And, if it's not working, DUMP it!
