Benjamin Moore Color of the Year 2020

Real Estate Agent with EXP Realty 414-525-0563 57026-90 Broker

As you might expect....and has traditionally been the case...The Pantone company and major paint manufacturers have all chosen veryFirst Lightdifferent colors as "The Color of the Year" from the people at Benjamin Moore is a very very pale/pastel touch of pink they are calling "First Light"....Light is the operative word here...very light. They are suggesting it as a substitute for white or beige ....and can be a companion color to either one.

One of the things that Benjamin Moore does....just like trying on a pair of shoes first to sell a sheet of color. Try it on the is easily removable ...and if you don't like haven't got a lot invested in materials, time or labor costs.  Each swatch is painted and true to the color you ordered. Or use it as an accent to a wall....combining coordinating or contrasting sheets. They are available in three sizes:

  • 2 X 9.25
  • 4 X 9.25
  • 8 X 9.25      This is quite a  contrast when we compare it to the Color of the Year chosen by Pantone....see our post here called Classic Blue Pantone Classic Bluewith a nod to a more jeweled tone. The perfect navy blue paint color for a front door to stay in the blue hue family this year as well with "Naval" as it's color choice we showed in our post you can find here
  •    We will be looking at the color chosen by Behr to complete our "Color of the Year" series...not close to either one of these in "color family."  There is something for everyone this year with the variety offered in hues.        This has been a decorative post brought to you Sally K. & David L. Hanson, Broker Associates with EXP Realty, LLC. honored to be of service for all things real estate in southeastern Wisconsin.

Good afternoon Sally K. & David L. Hanson ,

I read a post on the Pantone color of the year called "Classic blue" I'm seeing Benjamin Moore has chosen "First light," a very pale pastel/touch of pink. Will be interesting to see what Behr comes up with and if they can be used in conjunction with each other?

Sally and David,

As wall colors it is OK, we are not impressed, but each one of us has their own innate sense of taste, so I am sure many will embrace it.  A

Hi Sally and David- I like the color but I'd have to see it in person with the right decor before I said yay or nay. I have used the Ben Moore paint sheets and love them. So much better than those little things you pick up for samples or painting large splotches of paint on your wall to see how it looks in different lights (been there, done that.)

Morning Sally.

Now that is one color I can get into.  I'm sure my wife would turn it down, but I like it

Hello Sally and David - definitely a rainbow coalition when it comes to color choices.  Once again in 2020 and in any year so it seems as you have shared the various opinions/offerings found in the world of color/design.

It will be interesting to see which "color of the year" selections will be used for interior paint.
