The quiet time

I have sold homes during the holidays.  Of course at the time there were more homes on the market.  One year I actually sold a home on Christmas Eve.  I call it the miracle on Fry St.  It does happen if you are willing to work.  And I am!

 

This year seems quiet.  I have no active buyers or sellers.  Everyone wants to wait until the new year.  For those buyers I have, there is not much on the market to inspire them.

 

I have my son and his wife coming for the holidays.  Perhaps I should just enjoy them.  Times with your adult children are precious.  I stand ready to work if the opportunity presents itself. 

 

I have many things bubbling.  Getting ready for the year.

Hi Debbie.. I've decided to finish out my year without any work-related stress or hassles. When it comes to Christmas Eve... I don't ever stand ready to work. I've never worked on Christmas Eve Day once in my life... for me it's a holy day meant to spent quietly with friends and family... which is what I will be doing on Tuesday night after returning from Christmas Eve church services.

I do not actually celebrate Christmas.  I am Jewish therefore if my client is actually willing to work so am I.

I am in the same boat that you are and this is a year that I currently have no active buyers or sellers.  I am always willing to work, but we don't get to decide when we work, our clients do, so we wait.  There is still plenty of work to do even when we don't have work, it's just that we don't get paid, haha.
