Today at 5:30 pm we shall usher in the Winter Solstice. Today - December 21st, 2019 is the shortest day of 2019. Our sunrise (in Denver) was 7:17 am and sunset will be 4:38 pm, making this the shortest day with only 9 hours and 21 minutes daylight hours.
Luckily, we have a day with full sun to enjoy these 9 hours and 21 minutes! I have been driving home most evenings this week in the dark, and personally will be excited when the days get longer!
We are officially in winter later today!
and this is the day I need more hours!!! I have dough rising in the oven.... two blog posts to write.... and three football games to watch!!

Hi Joan... I know that most people will consider me odd when I say this, but the shorter days of light don't bother me at all. The longer days of light bother me more. Maybe a have some vampire genes in me!

Hmm, I didn't even realize that yesterday was shorter, haha. I stayed busy all day long, so it went by quickly.
