It was soooooo hard to leave him.............

Yesterday I tok my youngest dog, Chico Todd, into meet a surgeon for a consultation and ultimately left him to have the operation that we hoped would save him. He had a growth in his mouth that required removing part of his jaw and a number of teeth. The procedure was complicated and I was, and continue to be scared for his ongoing health. It was really hard to leave him there but I did. The surgeon called and told me the surgery went well. I am waiting for a call this morning and hope to be able to bring him home today. 

He has a long road ahead of him but one day at a time. It was really hard to leave him.
