A Seasonal Rendering

I experienced loads of activity yesterday! There was a trip to our local KP International Market for a cart load of fresh veggies. Then it was off to Cracker Barrel for lunch!  Walmart was also on my list of places visited!

Along the way, I came across this guy in my neighborhood. who always puts up an elaborate Christmas display. This year, a tree died in his yard. He is currently sculpting its trunk into Jesus.

That fellow is making something dead into something beautiful.  There are lots of shoppers out in full force in the stores.

Good morning, Myrl... I'm always amazed how someone can look at something like a dead tree and see something else... and then convert it to something beautiful.

Myrl looks like this guy really gets into the Christmas spirit.  That is a creative use of a tree stump.

Now that's what I call a resurrection from the dead and that tree will be admired for years to come by all!

Myrl, It is always fun to have a creative person in the neighborhood.  A while back we would drive through this one neighborhood on the way to the office, where a tree had fallen also, and it transformed into St Francis.  Happy New Year!

That's very creative.  I've always thought it would be fun to do something like this and have seen coconut trees carved into tikis of sorts.
