Real estate myths.

Like ring around the collar, those dirty myths. You try scrubbing them out when they come up in listing presentations sitting around the kitchen table. Soaking them out to remove them from conversations during real estate showings. Buyers and sellers, even agents and brokers start to believe them. Because they linger and circulate round and round despite your best efforts to get rid of those ugly familiar rings of real estate myths. Like an obnoxious parrot watching you, taunting you.

"Enough with the real estate myths already!" you scream.

But good luck putting your head in the sand or covering your eyes. Everyone you meet on the street, the talking heads on the news channels and talk show circuit keep them going. They all let one roll off their tongues oh oh so easily. 

Seemingly harmless myths, old wife's tales treated as absolute truths.

Nothing you can do about it right? The damaging real estate propaganda has strong roots, is like a bad weed infestation. Believing the real estate myths that one by one continue to circulate around day and night gets harder to remove from thought. The more you hear something and when it is from someone you trust and think is pretty much on the ball sharp. Well, your spirit gets broken, you will and resolve weaken. 

Eventually the force is too strong and even level headed folks give in, start  with the real estate myth chants.

The myths do become accepted and folks throw their hands in the air. Swallowing them hook line and sinker with absolute certainty conviction because they're gospel fact not fiction right? Kids get exposed and apply them to their limited knowledge on buying and selling real estate later in life. How do you wisk them away? Those dirty real estate myths grabbing you around the neck and holding on for dear life?

The real estate myths are powerful deeply ingrained lazy excuses too.

The myths used to satisfy buyers and sellers even real estate professionals who have to blame the less activerain logothan perfect outcome on something in a complicated property sale. 

As area estate agents or brokers, one of our main jobs is to educate buyers, sellers, the public. Hello Andrew - some "myths" have an element of truth/fact involved.  Others are totally false/harmful.  It takes a skillfull experienced local real estate broker, like yourself, to ask the right questions, listen/learn and move forward to a successful connection.
