City of Castle Rock CO - Market Update for November 2019

The Town of Castle Rock is located about 30 minutes (29 miles) south of Denver and enjoys a population of 56,962, which has inched up about 1,000 per year.  The elevation of Castle Rock is 6,202 feet above sea level.   Castle Rock includes Castle Pines and many rural farm areas outside the City limits.

 

The Castle Rock real estate market for the month of November saw a decrease in sales over the previous month, which is very seasonal.   The under contracts have decreased and inventory has decreased over the previous month.   Depending how this winter shakes out, we generally see sales start increasing in January.   Since we did not really see Fall, winter is in full force!   These stats include Castle Pines and Castle Pines Village, single-family detached homes and multi-family homes, courtesy of Joan Cox, House to Home, Inc.

 

Sales - 190 properties sold ranging from $170,000 to $1,430,000

Average Days on Market - 45 days 

Average Price $440,000

List Price/Sold Price - 99.13%

 

The highest-priced property sold in November was $1,430,000 and is located in Castle Pines Village  It is a custom home built in 2007.   It has 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, with a total of 8,722 square feet and a 4-car garage on .54 acres.
