Long Island Home Buyer Start With These 3 Requests When Looking For A Home

The 3 Things Buyers Look For When Buying A Home

As Long Island Realtors®, we deal with a variety of requests from home buyers during their search for a home or condo. The following are the most popular requests we get...

1. Location, Location, Location

Location is certainly at the top of the list.  Whether they want Nassau or Suffolk County, North Shore or South Shore, want to live near family, want a more leisure lifestyle, want to be in a particular School District, or want to live near work, location is very important.

2. Price Range

Although this number can change, price is an important factor when deciding where to move. Many times it can be an unrealistic price range, but once they start looking, they realize what the real number should be and we stay within those guidelines.

3. Move-In Ready

When looking for a home, many buyers want a Move-In Ready residence. Older buyers have gone through many updates while living in their previous homes, and younger buyers don't want to do the work. Yes, there are exceptions, and taking into account the 2 previous requests mentioned, a more established neighborhood may be the right choice. However, buyers usually start with "I don't want to do any work, and I want Move-In Ready". So, that's where we may start.

Bottom Line:

When you're ready to buy a Long Island home or condo, start the experience with Lawrence and Sheila Agranoff.

Hello Sheila and Larry - identifying home buying priorities is an excellent idea and when that search is in Nassau or Suffolk counties on Long Island, contacting you two is the number one priority.

Hi Sheila and Larry... you hit the nail on the head with these three. Here in the Charlotte area I'm increasingly seeing a demand for amenities.
