My young pup Chico Todd is recovering from a pretty major surgery. He had a growth in his mouth that needed to be removed and on December 21st the growth along with part of his jaw were taken. The next day, I brought him home and we began the medication regimen. Since he is wearing a cone and I can't hold his mouth, getting the syringe in three times a day proved difficult. It hasn't been easy and we have struggled but finally about a week ago we seemed to gel with it. For the last day or so Chico has gotten sick to his stomach and thrown up. I didn't think about it until it happened again this morning almost right after a dosage of meds. And so.......I am done with the meds for now. We see the surgeon tomorrow. It is impossibly difficult to get through to the specialty hospital and I decided if a medication made me sick I would simply stop taking it and that's what I can do for Chico. Fingers crossed for the check up..........
Adverse reactions in pets or humans isn't a good thing. I am very reactive to just about every drug so I just don't take much, just when needed. Praying for Chico and his Mama!

Thank you Anna. Chico won't be taking anything else from me until we see the surgeon. I am praying he is well enough to lose the cone and be a normal dog. TY Sheila

Oh my gosh, I always seem to be catching up to you when the next day you're finding out something about one of your fur babies!! I know you probably won't sleep tonight, Sheila. I am convinced that you did the right thing though - I would totally stop taking something that made me sick until my doctor told me otherwise.
Keep us posted on how the visit goes tomorrow. Sending hugs and positive vibes your way...
