Xeriscaping Class, Aurora CO

           There are a few Aurora community events happening in the next two days.  February has been pretty busy with plenty of town meetings to attend.  As part of Aurora property management we strive to let our followers know of every opportunity they will have to discuss the happenings in their community.  There will be an Amendment 64 Ad Hoc Committee Meeting on Tuesday February 18th at 4:00pm in the Ponderosa room of the AMC.  This will be an important meeting and one of several concerning Amendment 64.  An agenda with details will be provided on site.  The Metropolitan Wastewater Reclamation District Board will be meeting at the Metro District office at 5:30pm on Tuesday February 18th.  Dan Mikesell will be your contact for that meeting.  The Board of Adjustment and Appeals meeting will be canceled on Tuesday Feb 18th at 6:30pm. 

                Thursday February 1st from 12:00-1:00pm will be this month’s Brown Bag Talk featuring a Journey to Art in Public Places.  This event will be at the Aurora History Museum and will feature a visual journey to see the vast and varied collection of public art in Aurora, and hear the stories behind how some pieces were chosen, changed or otherwise acquired by the city. The cost is $4 or $3 for Aurora residents. Aurora Historical Society members are free since the series is sponsored by the Society. Bring your lunch and enjoy the talk.  This should be a surprising and entertaining event.  Also on Wednesday will be an Election Commission meeting at 6:00pm in the Fletcher Room of the AMC.  Working in Aurora property management you have hundreds of lawns to maintain.  Xeriscaping is starting to catch on and you see it a lot more in newer homes.  The AMC is offering a course on designing your own water-wise landscape for your home.  This is a two part course and registration is required.  This will begin at 6:00pm on Wednesday and it is called the Water Conservation - Do-it-Yourself Xeriscape Design 2 Part course.
