Coming soon at the Southridge Rec Center will be a great Home Brew Class.  If you love beer and you want to take the next step and learn to brew your own!  This class will provide the tools and procedures to be able to brew a 5-gallon batch during the class.  The live presentation will show all the techniques you would need to make a live brew.  It should be pretty illuminating for you if you are looking for somewhere to start, or have just gotten into it.  It is easy to make a home brew, provided you have the tools, as you will see.  The Castle Rock Home Brew Supply professionals will be facilitating each session.  They have done many of these classes at the rec centers in Highlands Ranch.  We are very in tune with the rec centers and their event calendars throughout the year.  Our Highlands Ranch property management office is within 10 minutes to all 4 and right next to one of them.  During the class you will sample tasters in 2oz pour increments.  You will be able to purchase these supplies to brew at home if you would like and there are snacks provided as well.  These classes will be $30, and tickets can be ordered in advance on the HRCA.org website.  The book, Home Brewing: A Practical Guide to Crafting your Own Beer, Wine and Cider by Kevin Forbes, will be available for people to take a gander at.  You can buy one of the limited copies of it if you would like.  There is also a great informercial called 24 things You Didn’t Know about Beer, from wearyourbeer.com and you can check that out if you would like to see a humorous and succinct overview of the home brewing process.
