Home Inspections are Important even on New Construction

Home Inspector with Royal Home Inspection

It would seem to me that most people think that if they're buying a newly constructed home that a home inspection is not necessary.  That could not be farther from the truth.  There are many mistakes that can happen in the construction process, therefore a home inspector should be brought in for quality control.  I have found everything from minor to major problems in new construction.  The minor being a faulty ground on the electrical system all the way to major problems such as a completely failing foundation.  Every problem that can be found on an older home I have found in a newly constructed home.  I just want to urge any realtor or consumer to get a home inspection on a new construction home.  It can save a homeowner thousands of dollars.

You have a good point Luke! We have gotten one on existing homes but didn't on the house we had built. We were lucky as we have not had problems but you never know. A few hundred dollars is definately worth it!
