Thankful Thursday...Supporting Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
Law Enforcement Appreciation Day takes on special meaning for me and for my family because we have several members who are or have been in law enforcement. My brother retired from the Houston Police Department a few years ago and I have others

in our family who are currently serving.
As a family member, I can tell you that when you have someone in the family who is a member of the force, you jump if the phone rings in the middle of the night or when you hear of a police shooting.
These men and women and canines deserve our support and our thanks.
When you see a Law Enforcement Officer tell them “Hello” and “Thank you.”
Send a note to your local station telling them how much you appreciate their service.
If you have young children in your life, help them see that law enforcement officers are there to help them.

Being in law enforcement isn’t just about catching speeders or those who run stop signs...it’s being willing to put your life in harm’s way for others.
What greater calling is that?
