Southridge is full of events this week. Earlier in the week we had reported on the more family friendly events on the calendar. Working in Highlands Ranch property management, there are no shortage of families needing some matter of things to do with respect to filling up their time during the week. We have families with kids of varying ages and stages of life. With too many kid’s events, Parents can feel like they need to attend a few events more associated and geared towards the adults in the room. This is the Hot Cocktails and Cordials Tasting event at the Southridge rec center on Saturday January 18th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
This is the first of seven events put on by the rec centers and their sponsored partner, Davidsons Beer Wine and Spirits. If you have never been to Davidson’s and you live in Highlands Ranch you owe it to yourself to stop by and simply check out the selection of spirits. It is without equal in Highlands Ranch. This event will be a fun mid-winter tasting that will showcase the warming libations and delightful treats that are sure to make you smile when the chill comes in. We have been exceptionally fortunate this year that we have not had too many chilling days. When we see New York with dumping snow and canceled flights while we breach the 50’s reliably day after day with sun, it can be pretty nice. By the time this event rolls around I may have to eat my words, as weather in Colorado changes quite rapidly. Even if it is not cold outside, these hot cocktails receive are guaranteed to warm you up. At a minimum you will leave with a collection of recipes for the rest of the year and a possible showcase for your next winter gathering.
