"Dear 25 Highfield Court-
In this letter, I hope to express my love and appreciation you have given Virginia and me over the last 15 years.
In each season you have managed to show off the many facets of your personality. Your warmth during the cold dark months of winter helped us keep our sanity during the endless wait for the coming of spring. Nothing could be more welcoming on a snowy day than a glowing fire in one of the many fireplaces. Driving up to the entrance, the dual pillars glow like beacons of light, promising welcome to all who enter.
In spring, surrounded by the promise of the luxuriating forests soon to come, sitting on the deck on an early spring evening overlooking the stream and lake evokes a feeling of tranquility more profound than any meditation.
Perhaps the best of your personality is showcased in the summer. You allow the brightness of the sun to fill the rooms, with views throughout of lush green forest. Guests relaxing on the deck in the mist of the woods luxuriate in the sounds of nature, not believing they are a mere 10-minute car ride from civilization.
You exhibit the true wonder of natural beauty perhaps most in the fall. The colors with which you dress yourself are nothing less than the dream of an artist’s masterpiece.
Finally, you have offered the accommodation not only Virginia and me, but to two generations of children and grandchildren. We have always felt completely secure with you situated in your own cul-de-sac within a gated community.
Words cannot do justice to the pleasures of having been privileged to spend a part of my life surrounded by your comfort and nurturing walls."
