Seller Series-What other topics should I write about in my blogs?

Happy New Year. 12 days late-I know. Some of you have probably noticed that I haven't been active blogging and commenting here on Active Rain the past three years. Honestly speaking-Life have happened. I guess that's the best way to be concise to explain my inactivity here. Now am I back here to play in the rain for good? I don't know, but I am sure going to try to.

Now one of the reasons why I am back here is I want to start a new blog series that I am aiming to target home owners especially ones who have listed their house for sale in the past and it didn't sell.. And of course home owners who are getting their house ready now to put on the market this year-Hopefully very soon.

So far I have come up with about around 28 topics. Most of the topics that I plan on covering in my blogs include

  • Home staging
  • Home Repair
  • Basement
  • Curb Appeal
  • How to clean Gutters
  • Just Listed Houses in the area/neighborhood
  • Just Sold Houses in the area/neighborhood

Many of the Active Rainmakers here are Rockstar Listing agents who am sure have gotten listings from their blogs that they have written over the years. I want to know what blogs did you write about that have help you secure listings and listing leads? And what blogs have helped you get home buyer leads as well. Why I said home buyer leads? Some home buyers are going to either upgrade or downsize from their current house and buy another house that fits their wants, needs and lifestyle. And they are going to need to sell their current house to help them buy their next one. Some of these homeowners also might have Land that they are looking to sell.

So what blogs have you written about over the years that have led to Listings and Listing leads over the years for you? Since we are a sharing Real Estate Community here at Active Rain,I figured that you all will share me as usual your best blogging topics that have generated Listings and Listing leads for you. Besides what you share with me will also be shared with other Active Rain members who are also looking to some ideas as well.

Lanre-"THE REAL ESTATE FARMER" Folayan listings are found offline not online!!  buyers are found with online marketing..... homeowners respond to direct mail marketing and/ or very large newspaper marketing (full page) offering a free market analysis....

1- Barbara Todaro is right about the benefits and return you will get from direct marketing.   Homeowners will hold on to postcards  or letters until their are ready.

2- Sometimes a neighborhood or community event post her in Active Rain  will attract a seller.  I posted an announcement regarding  a rain barrel give away  by a local city councilman. A homeowner who had  read the post and pickup a barrel for her garden call to say thanks and asked if I would sell a vacant co-op that she had across town.
