Motivational Monday...Focus On What You Enjoy
At some point in the last day or so I passed a milestone. Jeff Dowler, CRS posted something in the Q&A about a week ago about my approaching this milestone.
So many people were kind enough to go to my posts to help me cross over. Wait a minute… cross over?
I’m not ready to cross over yet! You know what I mean, reach 4,000,000 points.
The thing is while I appreciate the thing about points and milestones, it’s not what keeps me here.
And, since I’m for all intents and purposes retired now (except for referral consultations), I’m not exactly here for business.
I’m here because blogging keeps my mind active. It has been a desire of mine to write and blogging here has helped me organize my thoughts.
Of more importance for me are the number of friendships I’ve made here and what I continue to learn.
So if I had to impart any milestone-words-of-wisdom it would be to focus on enjoying what it is you do.
If you no longer enjoy it, move on and find something you do enjoy.
If you have to do what it is you do but no longer enjoy it, do two things:
1. Find a way that makes it enjoyable for you
2.Set a goal that will allow you to find something you do enjoy.
I always had the theory that the most important thing is be happy, enjoy what are you doing, and be fresh mentally. Rafael Nadal
