I always loved book sharing time with Dad

I think Confucius was a very smart guy... what do you think...

For whatever reason I have been addicted to reading for as long as I can remember. It may be thanks to my Dad who insisted that my sister and I read no less than one book a week and write him a review informing him what we learned from it. We could pick the book and we often chose novels but we learned something of value from every book we read and we always loved our book sharing time with our Dad.

Recently our 16 year old granddaughter was visiting at our home and she was in the living room reading, while the rest of the family was in the den watching a football game. I went into the living room room and asked her to come join everyone. She looked at me like I was crazy and said "Grandma give me one good reason why I should spent my time making others rich when I can spend my time reading and learn how to make myself rich?' I truly was at a loss for words... so I said, "I love you Mia" and went back into the den feeling that my Dad would have been so proud of her and laughing his butt off at the rest of us fools.

I have over 700 books in my Kindle which is my favorite place to read and I buy them all from Amazon. Both Rich and I love to read but he prefers hard copy so we have several hundred hard copy books and I thank God for the inventor of Book Shelves... I always thank God for eyes that see and I think of Helen Keller who I had the awesome opportunity to meet when I was very young... A LONG TIME AGO

I forgot to mention that my favorite book is the BIBLE and I tell all that no other LIFE INSTRUCTION or HOW TO books are needed.. If you don't already read the Bible give it a try... I promise you will LOVE IT...
