Thankful Thursday...For My iPhone
OK, I know it sounds trite or deranged but I truly am thankful for my iPhone. It is very instrumental in keeping my blood pressure down and from preventing my mouth from saying something it shouldn’t.
At a minimum, I can make calls and text with my iPhone. But when I have my phone, I am never bored and I maintain my patience.
There are many times when I find myself waiting...for a doctor’s appointment, lunch with a friend, standing in line, at the airport...the list goes on.
One of the reasons why I rarely lose my patience while waiting for someone or something is my iPhone. I take a positive approach to waiting. Rather than blow up at the receptionist who scheduled 3 patients at the same time for my doctor, I check my email or catch up with the news. (That said, if it is a common occurrence, I also use the phone to look for another doctor.)
It’s my opportunity to read a book. I can edit photos or make notes for my post, The list is endless.
Mind you, I’m not always on my phone. When I am in a “waiting” stage, I often let my mind wander (or ponder, right Michael Jacobs ?) I observe what’s around me and enjoy the moment.
You don’t have to dislike your phone or consider it a necessary evil. I let it work for me and that’s all I ask of it.
