Today is the first day of the elite 3-day swim class in Aurora. This camp will go over a lot of the fundamentals of swimming and should have each student leaving in a much better spot than before. The first day will be starts and turns. Day two will cover free and back. Day 3 will go over breast and fly. There will be two elite clinicians leading each session. We have many different levels of instructors and students in our Aurora property management portfolio and have heard that this is a worthy course for swimmers. The class is $400 so you will get your money’s worth. The course is located at the Grandview High School Pool. The two clinicians to lead it are Missy Franklin and Todd Schmitt. They will be joined by two-time Olympian Chloe Sutton. They are both Olympic coaches and age group coaches. Each course is designed for swimmers ages 10 or older. The instruction should be top notch and the course details are very detailed. There is a large curriculum, so you can be sure that your skill should increase after this three-day course. Session 1 includes dives, backstroke starts, underwater dolphin kicking and breakouts. Session 2 will go into depth about freestyle and backstroke. These are often the most challenging for simmers of all ages and abilities. This is due to the complexity of each of the techniques in these strokes. There will be plenty of learning of drills and skills to be able to complete these proficiently. Session 3 will go over breaststroke, butterfly and underwater dolphin kicking. The short axis strokes are butterfly and breaststroke. These are very similar and challenging strokes to master to the importance of rhythm. Participants of this session will not only learn how to have a stronger pull and kick but also when each movement should happen so that they can swim more connected and with more efficiency. Participants will also learn how to improve their underwater dolphin kicking with Todd and Chloe. After each session there will also be a dedicated Q&A session for all questions towards regimen, training, diet, nutrition, and recovery tactics. Chloe will also be swimming at full speed near the beginning of watch session so that she can demonstrate a progression of perfectly executed drills that achieve powerful, efficient, and fast swimming. Swimmers also get to practice everything they’ve learned by taking their stroke to top speed with two of the best swimmers in the world. They’ll work on holding their form, while challenging themselves. You will be able to take a photo with Chloe and Todd while wearing Chloe’s medals, get autographs and a gift from TYR Sport. If that all sounds like a great deal to you, you should consider signing up. Remember that inquisitive and educated swimmers are faster swimmers.
