Wisconsin Ice Fishing Weekend Update; Fish Thieves, caught on camera!

Okay, so you deal with the cold, chop through 3 feet of ice, sit out there for hours catching a tasty dinner of fresh fish when what should happen, a thief comes along and steals your dinner.

We are hearing of many thieves out there on the ice going after freshly caught treasures that local ice fishermen and women have worked hard for.

  • Eagles are famous for mooching for bait and swooping down and grabbing a prized trophy.
  • Some Canadians caught a Lynx sneaking around camp and steeling a fine fish.
  • Some others caught a fox coming in for fish, despite their efforts to shoo it away.

And then this Mink comes along and steals a prize twice his own size.

Watch your catch folks, or it may disappear when your back is turned.

This is a great video - and it made me chuckle - made my husband sad though because he is such an animal lover
