Celebrating A Dream On Martin Luther King Day
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on his birthday, let us follow his lead in striving to do right by our neighbor, nurturing a community spirit of cooperation and understanding. The inspirational legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is one of unity and peace... let us not forget that by working together, each of us truly can make a difference.
"I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream."
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character."
"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed - we hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."
"Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend."
"The time is always right to do what is right."
“You can kill the dreamer, but you can’t kill the dream.”
Dr. Martin Luther King may have been killed, but his dream has not been killed. Today... take a moment to remember that dream... to reflect on that dream... to honor his dream... a dream that is as valid today as it was decades ago.
