Hi Everyone! As you, my ActiveRain friends, have read in my posts ----
I am not a lover of exercise or gyms. Do I wish I wasn't so challenged in
this matter? Yes! Of course!! Deep inside, I am a health nut, except for
when it means exercise and gyms. I have paid my fair share of gym dues
through the years also. Do I know the reason I have this problem? No, I
don't. I have sons and daughters with sculptured muscles and bodies --works
of art -- and they love their gyms. And then, there is me?!?
I am in my last week of physical therapy for my painful sciatica attack two
days before Thanksgiving. My physical therapist, Maryann, is an angel
and has brought me to the point that yesterday was the first day I could
walk without pain -- and without my cane. And Maryann has given me so
many different exercises to do in order to get well. I have been warned that
Maryann can tell if I am doing my exercises or not. I will let you complete
that thought:) I have a 10:20 am appointment this morning and I will exercise
1/2 hour before my appointment........
You must know by now that I must love quotes. Yes - Ο? No - Ο? Well, with
that in mind, I went looking for some motivating exercise quotes that might
help me and anyone else who may have the same challenging disorder/dislike
of exercise. I am thinking maybe some quotes that have a mixture of
the value and importance with a bit of humor. Those of you who do not
have this problem, please wish us well. Thank you and have a great day!
By the way, I will spend two days on these quotes and personally, I will start
with some quotes of 'Unknowns' as I saw some motivating thoughts. But
tomorrow I will find quotes with authored names.

Good morning Jane. Must say one caught my attention and destroyed my excuses:
"Someone busier than you is working out right now."
Hello Jane - I also like quotes and while I often use them for reference purposes, there is one thing that came through to me(loud and clear) from your introduction to today's quotes. That is finding what works best for you. Right now.
Here's to feeling better. Now. Going Forward.
These are great quotes. O have heard the Cardio/Spyder web quote before. My favorite is "The Hardest Lift of all is Lifting your Butt off the Couch." I think we have all felt this one at some point in time.

I agree, getting off the couch is the most difficult challenge. Once I get going I am fine. Also, I feel so much better once I get into a workout routine.

It seems that with most things that we do not like if you keep doing it and become accustomed to it, you might start to actually enjoy it, especially if you are seeing good results!
Good Morning Jane Chaulklin-Schott
I got a chuckle out of this one because it's so true...lol
"I just did a weeks worth of cardio after walking into a spider's web."
Jane,
The whole concept of self-discipline is a turn off for both of us. We don't like the whole idea of motivation either. We just do it if it works for us. We do not even think about it. LOL we are contrarians!
Hello Jane, well I hope you are better and you know I love your quotes all the time.
I'm glad you are getting better, Jane. I have belonged to a health club for about 14 years. I ususally walk right past the torture machines, and get to the pool and spa. It's important to find some physical activity that you enjoy, otherwise you won't want to do it. With me, it is swimming laps, and then sitting in the spa afterward.
CONGRATULATIONS Jane, on having this blog FEATURED in the Old Farts Club group!
Morning Jane.
Got to love it.
