Awesome Day 9 - Monumental Views at Every Turn

Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Capital Properties DC AB15253

Looking at condos in DC is awesome!  You never know what you are going to see from a window or a balcony. Rooftop decks are incredible.  You turn around and there is the National Cathedral.  You look in the other direction and there is the Capitol or the Washington Monument.

I was on my way to an inspection this morning and coming down North Capitol - worried about whether I would get there on time and where would I park - and how would the inspection turn out. Then I looked down North Capitol - past the cars in front of me - and there was the Capitol building - just waiting to be noticed.  It takes my breath away when I see the Capitol at times like that - so unexpected and yet so much a part of the landscape.  It reminds me of how much we have to be grateful for in this country.

Can you imagine having this as a view from your condo? The Capitol is particularly pretty at night too, when it gleams white against a dark night sky.  Talk about awesome!

This is the view from a roof deck of a condo that I visited recently.  Roof decks like this with views of the Washington Monument and the Old Post Office are very popular on the Fourth of July when everyone gathers to watch the fireworks with their friends.  Buy a condo with a roof deck like this and you are instantly popular in July!

You don't have to go to the roof to have a special view in Washington.  As you are driving down Constitution Avenue on your way to a showing on Capital Hill, there is the magnificence of our nation's capitol right in front of you.

This is a picture that I took of the Washington Monument one late afternoon as I was on my way home from showing properties in Arlington.  I came over the 14th Street bridge and was turning to go home through Rock Creek Park - and there was the Washington Monument.  There are so many historic and significant structures in Washington - and we are so lucky to be able to see them every day.

It is easy to take them for granted because they are always there - but they are so beautiful and we need to always be surprised and grateful to find these monuments waiting around a corner and down a street - just waiting to be noticed.   It is definitely awesome!

Good morning Lise. Washington DC would be much prettier if we could lose the politicians and elect real legislators. Enjoy your day!

There are a lot of historical buildings in that area, and I'm sure some homes are worth more because of the views/location. Have a great day!

Sheila Anderson  I grew up in dc so there are some places that really mean a lot to me because of memories from childhood like our train station - Union Station but just coming across the monuments like old friends is such a treat. I know people make big trips to dc to see them and they are there every day for us
