Motivational Monday...Good Choices
To this day, our family always tells everyone to be safe when someone is leaving. It is something that we especially emphasize with our family members who are law enforcement members. Heck, I’ve even said Be safe in the comment section here or in texts to people I know.
However lately, a Kellogg’s Raisin Bran Commercial caught my eye. It shows a father reminding his daughter who is about to go off on her bicycle to make good choices.
Making good choices is something that would be good to teach our children as well as remember ourselves.
For example, the first good choice the young girl made in the commercial was to wear her helmet. On her route, she will face many choices that will lead to keeping her safe...stopping at crosswalks, looking both ways, avoiding short cuts that take her in questionable areas.
We are all given choices in life...granted some may not be the ones we would like, but they are still choices. To say I didn’t have a choice isn’t really true. It may mean that the choices presented to you were not ones you would have preferred...or the choice you made was not a good one.
In some cases, the choices that we are left with are a result of previous choices that we’ve made.
As you begin the week, look at all of the choices that you’ll need to make in the next 24 hours. Choices that deal with your work, your family, your health...all have consequences down the road.
Make good choices!!!
Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely.
