Endre Barath, Jr. is hosting an ActiveRain contest this month titled "What changes did you make last year or the year before that worked?" Endre's contest is very timely in my case, because I made a major career change in the middle of last year. This change has had a significant impact on my business, and proven to be the right change for me. However, this also means 2020 Will Be A Year Of Change, And New Challenges For Me.
In May of last year I decides to accept a Branch Manager position with Allied Mortgage Group, in their Middletown, CT branch. This is a new branch for Allied Mortgage Group, so I have had not only the challenges of being a Branch Manager for the first time in my career, but also the challenges of everything that comes with opening a new branch.
This change is a change I welcomed at this point in my career, and one which has been successful to date. Not only have we been able to bring on excellent support staff, but also grow the number of Loan Originators for Allied Mortgage Group.
This change has also created new business opportunities for me in states I have not been able to originate loans in the past. In the past I was limited to only originating mortgages in Connecticut, but now my branch is licensed to originate loans in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Florida. It is exciting I now am able to reach out beyond the borders of Connecticut, and form new partnerships with Realtors in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Florida.
To the Realtors and Agents who are reading this blog, and are located in the states I am now licensed in, I would love the opportunity to assist you and your Buyers in 2020. If this seems like a shameless plug to use this contest to solicit your business, I plead guilty.
