15 homes sold in Lawson during the Fourth Quarter 2019, two fewer than the same quarter one year ago, however there were also nine fewer homes listed for sale than one year ago. Lack of new listings was also reflected in the drop in average days on market, which were down 4 days to 48 days compared with the same quarter one year ago. 4th quarter months supply of homes in Lawson stood at barely one month. As a result, home sellers received 98.88% of their asking price during the fourth quarter.


Median list and sale prices for Lawson homes increased in the 4th quarter 2019 versus 2018, as did average and median listing prices. Median sale prices increased 14.56% to $474,750, while average sale prices increased 22.44% to $500,633.


At year-end 2019, no homes were listed for sale in Lawson and four homes were under contract. Three homes were listed for sale in Lawson in the first weeks of 2020.

Lawson Neighborhood In Charlotte Area's WaxhawOne of Waxhaw, North Carolina's most desired and perennially favorite communities since 2006, Lawson is an idyllic neighborhood set on 558 picturesque acres with tree-lined streets and miles of scenic nature/walking trails.

Also nearby is The Carolina Thread Trail, a regional network of green ways, trails, and blue ways with a new cross-state suspension bridge connecting the Twelve Mile Greenway in Waxhaw, NC with the Twelve Mile Creek Trail in Lancaster, SC offering four continuous miles of pathways to walk and explore.

What Style of Homes Will You Find In Lawson?


One of the larger subdivisions in Waxhaw, Lawson homes range in price from the mid-$200,000's to over $800,000. Homes range in size from about 1,700 square feet to 5,000+ square feet and feature three bedrooms up to six plus bedrooms. Homes are primarily two-story, but there are also 1-1/2 story homes and three story homes, as well as homes with walk-out basements. All homes feature two or three car attached garages and are situated on lots averaging 1/4-1/3 of an acre, although there are homes home considerably larger losts, as well. Lawson builders include Mattamy, Lennar, Shea Homes, Orleans, Ryland, St. Lawrence, and Pulte, providing a wide variety of home styles.  In other words... something for everyone... from first time buyers to empty-nesters to young families, to move-up home buyers looking for luxury homes.
