Recent discussion in the Q&A section related to inviting a guest blogger or being a guest blogger. Others have found using those with a large following to be of great value. Below is a tabulation of fees PAID TO INFLUENCER to chat up the product of others.

From the fees shown, clearly some place GREAT value in leveraging INFLUENCE.

Would you PAY UP to have another blog about you or would you collect a fee for exploiting the fame your blogging skill has created.

Hi Annette Lawrence , Palm Harbor, FL 727-420-4041 - I have seen these solicitations on my contact page.  I get lots of hits but no guarantee that they convert.

That outstanding....lots of hits.

The analytics should reveal where the guarantees exist.

Sometimes is pure MASS, 25,000 hits equal 5,000 site visits, equals 1,500 engagements, equals 20 requests equals 5 appointments.

What would happen if you get 250,000 hits? The reality is, most of us are unprepared to effectively handle the outcome.

You know me well enough to understand the 'more info' comes in response to well crafted comments. Actually the 'best stuff' is in the commentary.

I think the target audience that is influenced by those "influencers" skews far younger than my typical client.

Le's imagine that in the 1/4 of the state in which Mason Ohio is located, Abner Allbright is a real estate investor type with TV ads and a celebrity personality in the are with 50,000 followers. He blogs and talks about 1st time buyer, flips and creative financing and managed growth issues.  Having him share your vision with the world on his platform  or being a guest on your webinar just may have real value. He will want someone with real energy usually those are folks with vision. You will want someone to delivers relevance to your digital presence.

An agent can pay Zdevl $12,000 annually or this guy $1,200 for access to 50,000 fans of Abner.

I think the 'younger' assumption may be incorrect. Yet, it IS this group most like to say, "OK Boomer."

I think real estate agents realizing they must break the barriers the middle-sphere is imposing, should look at collaborations like this to leverage their hard earned audience.

If it is collaboration, we mutually benefit and we keep our money.

the state that Mason, Ohio is in?   I'm pretty sure that's Ohio... right?

Alan May you missed an important qualifier that is 'the 1/4 of the state in which Mason, OH is located. (I did not edit it, it's always been there.)  If it is near Cincinnati, no need to be distracted by Cleveland.

It's crazy how much celebrities are making on social media.

Take a look at this Forbes article.
Cristiano Ronaldo makes 47.8 million per year on Instagram.

The idea that this is a viable business model is a wake-up call.

Hey... I'd like to get paid for promoting my OWN business.

Having Abner blog about your business is promoting your business. I know this is contrary to the mindset of most real estate agents.

I'm sure you have been witness to what happens when a business shows up in the newspaper regarding their "Unbelievable Decadent Devils Food Cake."

I bet we all could get paid if that was our goal.

I'm just a little speck of nothing compared to those famous celebrities or influencers with a huge following. No idea of even trying, lol.

Eva I imagine that is so because your business is helping people buy and sell homes. The front door to that business is either marketing of SOI. Experienced agents like you and me rely on SOI. Newbies without a referral engine are searching for other options. They can 'buy' a toe hold on influence or start today with the purpose if becoming an influencer. It can be a full time job.

The RIGHT CHARLOTTE REALTOR!

Holy moly, Annette! What I found interesting is the Twitter was the lowest paying - either a smaller audience or does it have to do with class?!!

Finally, someone looking at the columns. I believe the issue is Twitter is the tail attached to a bigger presence.

I love it!  A curious mind.

Use AR to identify a newbie agent in Houston.  Be prepared to create the before and after stats. Let that newbie agent be the subject of a blog with links to the elements of that agents digital footprint. Tell your audience to 'go there.'

The after counts will establish what you can do for a business in an unrelated area. Now, think what could happen in a population aligned with island living.

Always remember, deliver a little success and they will pay for more.

If an influencer just wanted to make money, this might be one way to do it. Unfortunately, I've read some posts/emails/blogs from people who do promote others' products for fees - and the posts were way too spammy for my taste. So I wouldn't do this myself.

Jan 29, 2020 05:31 AM

Hmmmm,

Kat, if you were reading my blog here on AR and I revealed a method for creating relevance and loyalty of citizens agents have not meet, would you not be interested?

If I offered to show you how this gets immediate results with one little test you can initiate yourself, would you not be interested?

If I then shared this system is available through a start-up company ready to PROVE their value? Would you not be interested?

What I have come to know to be true is, if you possess the curiosity  initiate that test and have success...(real value) you will not see this as spam. To the skeptic it is all spam.

Now, if a real estate agent attempts to help a local business in their car undercarriage weather proofing system...now that is spamy.  But if the same agent wants to help the local business by sharing how that agent secured a hard to find business location and delivered creative financing...that is a win-win.

Or, share how the psychology of marking applies to all businesses.

There are ways to do it. And I simply no longer believe anyone expects YouTube to be spam free. The ads and offers and timers are popping up from all directions and citizens around the globe spend hours and hours watching HOW TOs they will never attempt.

I find and have tested many times here on AR that agents impose misguided restrictions one what they give themselves permission to do.  For that reason, it is only to the newer agent I expect to find resonance in the value I can present.

I think agents may find value in collaborating with the intent to by-pass the middle-sphere owners and create our own relevance separate from brokers, franchises, associations and NAR.

Or....you may be right....it too spammy. Don't do it.
