Change is a Good Thing....Mind Open...Experience Rewarded

By
Real Estate Agent with EXP Realty 414-525-0563 57026-90 Broker

Our changes have been many in the past year and serve as building blocks for this year and years to come.

On a personal level, we were going to make some changes to our lower walk out level...which is where Magic, our soon to be 21 year old cat, resides. The age difference with Dini didn't make them friends so they each have their own floor. We decided that the disruption caused by remodeling would be too much disruption for him and moved on to updating the master bedroom with plans made last year and multiple contractors scheduled to minimize our own disruption from ceiling lights to refacing the fireplace, flooring, painting, window treatments ...furnishings, artwork etc. It is  now the sanctuary we love...pictures as time permits.

Our major business change was to join EXP Realty LLC, our only regret is not having done it sooner.  In addition to opening up multiple streams of income, it has also increased our discipline in education...both in getting and giving. The very pervasive "coming from contribution" and mega technology has us doing more time blocking than ever before to both get and give in classes and individual sessions which has been rewarding both personally and professionally. Education not only with agents but also with segments of our sphere in the kinds of services we offer to them and in some cases to their clients. The small group and one on one sessions are more time intensive both in preparation and execution however the rewards outweigh the additional time and effort.  There are so many different ways an agent can choose to experience this brokerage, having what feels like freedom as well as prosperity has had an energizing effect on many parts of our lives.  Some people may have had "less than sterling" introductions to this cloud based brokerage....happy to have you visit a class...with no obligation. ...you may well surprise yourself ! You don't have to dislike where you are to find you like something else better...Open minds are a wonderful thing.

Another huge thing we would encourage everyone to do on a personal level is to make sure you have the kind of medical care you deserve. Our annual physical appointment ...or attempt at making one...to be told it would be in 6 months...caused us to seek out another physician.  That too could be its own post ! After considerable research we now have the family doctor who is not from the "health I don't care" school and makes time for personal phone calls and appointments as needed. We feel so lucky to have found a physician not caught up in the "business" of  health care and makes the real care and practice a priority. IF you have not had a physical...do not have a doctor you can depend on ...make that a priority...make YOU a priority. If one person who reads this makes an appointment ...uncovers a condition...treats something before it becomes a problem...this change suggestion will more than have served its purpose. The cough, the assumed heartburn, the tingle or numbness you choose to ignore can be symptoms of much bigger problems...go to the highest and best source...not the "clinic of the internet" ...find a good physician.

Back to class and meetings....and wishing you all the positive changes that bring you the lives you so richly deserve.  Sally & David Hanson - Broker Associates, EXP Realty LLC.

Wow I can't believe that your cat is 21 and I could see the construction might stress him out.  As far as the move sound like it was very beneficial and then it is ALWAYS important to stay on top of your health.  Sounds like great things, I hope 2020 goes just as well.

Well, obviously you have a mind open enough to allow a cat to help you click the mouse.

And a good doctor is gold...

Hello Sally and David - an open mind either for an improved living situation, better health care or new opportunities of many kinds comes with being able to change.  It seems you are on the right path.  And I imagine the rest of your furry family agrees.

I am not one who usually loves change. I change in business as needed as it is a must.  Lessons learned over the years i guess.

Sally, I did not remember you had a 21 year old kitty, and that they did not get along.   Fun to have two floors to keep them separate.

Morning Sally.

I agree, at my age a good/great general practitioner is golden.  Looks like Magic likes to play with the mouse.

Thanks for your entry, Sally!

I totally agree with the doctor segment - I text with Ray's main doctor, night and day if I need him. He's wonderful and I cannot imagine not having him in our corner.

Like you, time-blocking allows me to accomplish 3 times as much as I used to get done. And, teaching is in my blood - love training newbies and sharing tricks of the trade as well as educational necessities that brokerages often forget to teach their young. Of course, I love your virtual classroom - there really aren't many hours in the day you can't be learning something there!
